Selecting the right size windshield can be both intimidating and frustrating. You don't want to waste the money or the time by selecting the wrong size windshield. In many cases a replacement motorcycle windshield is quite expensive and can be aggravating to install depending on the motorcycle. So it's important to get the size right the first time.

There are many rules of thumb when it comes to selecting the right size windshield and much of it depends on the particular motorcycle, your riding style and even something as simple as your posture or seating position. A very simple rule of thumb is that you want to have the top of the windshield about even with the middle of your chin, between your lower lip and the bottom of your chin. This will allow you to either look over the windshield during clear weather or tuck in behind it and look through the windshield if you need during inclement weather.
